Perhaps the lesser-known side of Plàncton is its marine environmental consultancy work, involving more technical tasks such as mapping, species surveys and project proposals. When summer comes to an end, we switch on our computers and get to work on these projects.

We carry out basic mapping studies of marine seagrasses – Posidonia oceanica and Cymodocea nodosa – in coastal areas, as preliminary studies for the installation of infrastructure such as underwater outfalls or pontoons.

We prepare marine biodiversity reports, maps identifying potential impacts and maps of mitigation measures for coastal areas that could be designated as protected areas. We also develop management plans for coastal and marine areas to help ensure compliance with regulations on the protection of designated areas.

We have experience in actively sourcing funding and preparing justifications for marine environmental projects financed through European and national funding programmes. We can therefore help you find the right resources to bring your project to life.
